Virat Kohli was finally dismissed by a Pakistan bowler in a T20 World Cup contest as the India skipper fell to Shaheen Afridi in the high-voltage India-Pakistan match in Dubai on Sunday. Kohli was dismissed for 57 (49 balls) by the left-arm pacer who stole the show with the ball for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup Super 12 match.
Virat Kohli has scored 226 runs against Pakistan in T20 World Cups and has been dismissed only once. Kohli headed into the T20 World Cup having scored 169 runs in 3 innings without getting dismissed in the showpiece T20I events against their arch-rivals.
It was another high-quality innings against one of his favorite oppositions as the India captain led the way with the bat even as Shaheen Afridi put pressure on the former champions by getting the big wickets of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul cheaply in the powerplay.
